Sound Body Flow is an immersive yoga experience complete with a flow yoga practice curated by Alex Dawson that aligns our body and breath to rhythms of music cadenced at a pace that regulates the heart beat.
Our practice will explore how sound vibration realigns the physical and mental body and brings us back to our essential Flow State.
It is in the Flow State that we connect to the deeper mysteries and power of the universe, allowing us to tap into the Unlimited Creative Potential both as an individual and more importantly, as a collective.
Come prepared for a vinyasa style practice, chanting & sound healing with crystal quartz alchemy bowl. Please also bring a journal. Alex will guide you in some writing exercises to illuminate your most authentic sankalpa (centering thought).
As the workshop progresses, we will apply this deeper inquiry into our physical and vibrational yoga practice. Alex invites you to join her on the mat for a transformational yoga experience and to let your voice be heard in song as she plays harmonium and leads us in a bhakti hit of chanting sure to leave you feeling high.
Props : Yoga mat, 2 blocks, cushion to sit on, and a journal & pen/pencil.
This is the fifth time that we are gathering in the Desert to go on a fascinating journey into the depths of the heart with the powerful technique of Kundalini Yoga. This time you may join us for a deep 5 days retreat or choose to join only for the weekend. In any option you choose, this journey will be a deep dive into Yourself and into Life.
In this journey we will Deepen into Life’s pulsation and vitality, we will explore different layers of the experience of life, the elements, the subtle energy centers, the physical, the mental/emotional and the spiritual. This process will be supported through the deep practice of kriya (series of Yogic exercises), breathing, meditation, mantra, yogic philosophy and more.
The Kundalini workshop is an experiential, energetic and intensive workshop accompanied by live and vibrant music. Kundalini Yoga is an ancient and powerful technique, also known as the Yoga of Awareness - Yoga that stimulates the creative energy of life that resides in each and every one of us.
Kundalini yoga practice opens the energy channels in our bodies, stimulates creative energy and connects the polarities in oreder to create a complete experience on all levels.
the practice supports understanding and recognition that the outside world is a mirror to our inner energy, the other is a mirror to our state of consciousness. In combination with the various techniques, we will learn to enhance and deepen our personal potential, to recognize the Divine Infinity within us and to preserve it even when we communicate with the Other. Through the practice of Asana, Kriya, Pranayama, meditation, singing mantras and vocal and musical elements we will awaken our energy centers and our Life energy.
Welcome to join us in this dynamic and creative journey to the heart and into the core of our being. To become wholly, healthy, and happy.
* The workshop will include personal and group exercises.
We will talk about the Granthis (energetic knots), especially Vishnu Granthi- the heart knot.
We’ll learn how to open it using the breath (Pranayama) and mantra (chanting). We’ll read different scripts from the tradition and expand our understanding of Anahata chakra (heart center).
I’m very happy for this unique opportunity to teach in the desert. This special retreat will enable us to dive into the deep waters of the Ashtanga practice.

Light up your Core ! Being Centered, Clear of Mind and Loving at Heart through Spirit Yoga
Dr. Inga Bolien from Spirit Yoga Berlin
Moshav tzofar - Hotel in Moa
This five-part Workshop combines strong- yet gentle, precise- yet creative yoga practices. It focuses on becoming whole and peaceful within our mind, on connecting to the Central Axis within the body, and on identifying the personal rituals, symbols, and elements in order to reveal the soul’s inner-truth.
The Journey moves from a pure, challenging, energy-boosting Spirit Yoga class into a Workshop to detect personal rituals and meaningful symbols. These discoveries will get strengthened by a class which focuses on the core and stabilizes the central axis of the spine.
The journey continues with an exploration into accessing a balanced and satisfying life and a reflection about how to combine the rational and spiritual sides in life.
The Workshop concludes with a powerful practice called “Strength and Silence,” which combines balance, power, and calm resolve of an awakened life.

However, for the yogi the breath is a gate, as it connects the gross physical and subtle inner, the body and the mind.
As such, what is the breath that the yogi/ni is in search of? Is it just about the abstract process of intake and expulsion of air from the nostrils and nothing more? And how does the understanding and familiarity with the breathing process lead us on our yoga journey?
Practicing yoga asana over time, regardless of method, without properly applying the knowledge and tools offered to us in Hatha Yoga, will impede progress and eventually lead to frustration and injury. Practicing yoga without a connection to breath is like swimming against the tide, trying to reach somewhere.
In this workshop we will shed light and dive deep into the process and importance of breathing, which involves an understanding of the Prana, the vayus and the bandhas. The breath will lead and guide us on our journey between dynamic and static sequences from the worlds of Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga.
Yoga practitioners with a good foundation in any yoga style are very welcome to join the workshop.

Between one event and another, one moment and another, one thought and another, lies the space. While our attention is usually directed to the events/thoughts/moments, in this 5-days retreat we’ll turn it to the space in between. Can we tune into that space? What is this space? How does it relate to me and my daily life?
We’ll explore these questions and more through:
- Tension and stagnation release
-- Dynamic and meditative yoga flows, inspired by Ashtanga and Prana Vinyasa
-- Spontaneous movement – “Sahaja”
- Connecting to the space
-- Experiencing 24 hours of silence while moving, sitting, eating, etc.
-- Meditative walks and practices in the dessert
-- Pranayama, contemplation, meditation
- Opening our hearts, calming our minds
-- Mantra Chanting, Nada Yoga, storytelling, Satsangs
-- Observing the different perspectives each chakra offers us
-- Inquiring into what needs to be dissolved, invoked and enhanced
This retreat will combine practices in silence as well as with LIVE music and Mantra chanting by the talented musician and Yogi, Anton Koliadko. From silence and stillness to sound and movement. We’ll play with those edges, until perhaps we find the silence in the sound, and stillness in movement.
The retreat is suitable for all levels of experience. It is highly recommended to join the full 5 days retreat to immerse yourself and enjoy an in-depth experience, however, it is possible to join only from Thursday for a 3 days retreat.
Additional Details:
Workshop is suitable to English Speakers and will be led in English and Hebrew should there be a need
Suitable for all levels
Practice type: Dynamic & meditative
Recommended to bring with you: Meditation cushion, pen and notebook

Between movement and stillness - yin yoga and classic yoga

Yin Yoga- Long static, passive holds which invites an intimate encounter with one’s self . This practice can release energetic and physical blockages along the meridians and the connective tissues.
In this year’s Yoga Arava Festival Workshop we will learn, both physically and theoretically, how the body and mind can transit safely and harmoniously between a static state to a dynamic one. What happens when we yield, let go, give up and put our ego asaide. This way we will find the softness in challenging situations as well as the ideal alertness in passive states. The theoretical explanations accompanying the physical practice will help us to assimilate to tools given in the workshop and use them for a long time ahead. Experienced practitioners of dynamic yoga will learn how to use the tools to soften themselves in any asana and lower down muscular tonus as well as mental stress.
I am offering this workshop because many of my students and practitioners have asked to join my teachers courses and immersions, but those are closed being designed only for professional teachers. This is an opportunity to deeply learn, both physically and theoretically, materials I usually share with yoga’ pilates and fitness instructors as well as movement experts. This knowledge is shared both from official learning, self practice and vast teaching experience world wide.
The Seven vital Principles of Yoga - Relaxation, Quieting of the mind, Intent, Rooting, Connecting, Breathing, Elongation and Expansion, are the pillars of the Vijanana Yoga practice.
At the same time, they stands as pillars for any other well-made Yoga practice, regardless of systems and names.
There is logic behind the order of appearance of the principals, which helps us reach alignment and a certain body-mind state.
However, is this necessarily the only possible order? The number of ways to solve a Rubik’s (Hungarian) Cube is enormous and for the solution, we use qualities of observation, curiosity, thought and play.
In the practice of Yoga, The body itself becomes a Rubik’s cube.
Playing is the quality that prevents the practice from falling into areas of boredom and rigid patterns.
During the workshop, this playing quality will be applied to all parts of the practice: sitting, breathing and asana. Practitioners who are not familiar with the principles will gain significant tools to enhance their personal practice.
In addition to the practice, we will have a philosophical class about the Subject (the observer) and Object through quotations from various texsts from different periods.
Language: Hebrew and English
In this weekend we will have the opportunity to connect to the inner feeling and external richness of abundance in our lives.
You will be guided through a gentle cleanse before the workshop, during the weekend we will practice dynamic vinyasa (for all levels) with samples from a variety of methods such as acroyoga, thai massage and meditation.
The practice will help us remember, both physically and spiritually that "abundance is unlimited, unbounded and always available..." (deepak chopra)
the workshop is availabe for English speaker

Influenced by Ashtanga / Vinyasa, Chi Kung, Shado Yoga and Iyengar Yoga. A fascinating workshop combining various yoga techniques and methods into a challenging and enjoyable series.
Yoga is made up of varied, creative forms of movement, breathing and stretching. In this workshop, we will focus on the logic of continuum (Vinyasa) to the best practice of yoga and the wise name for physiological and anatomical thinking, as well as in changing states of consciousness.
We will also deal with philosophical issues from the Advaita Vedanta world, practice meditation, and a little pranayama.
The workshop is suitable for experienced practitioners only.
* Endless movement, the ability to produce vigorously integrated Vinyasa and produce conscious breathing within intense movement.
* Investigation of the Asanas, posture, proper work within the postures. Sometimes habit causes us to make movements out of the body's desire to want and not feel. Let's look at the difference between them.
* Yama and Nyama, the yogic principles and "laws". How "laws" written thousands of years ago are significant to our daily lives here and now.
* Work on strength and flexibility: In yoga we must do a joint work of strength and flexibility in order to produce correct and useful Asanas. We will understand the connection and listening required for this.
* 8 limbs of yoga by Patanjali, the way in which the Ashtanga Yoga was created as we know it today. We will explore the origins and non-necessarily physical contexts of yoga.
* Gathering in as meditation, gratitude as meditation

Yang training, Ashtanga and Nyasa combined yin training Yin and Yang's connection fascinates many practitioners - and rightly so.
Our life consists of this pair of contrasts:
Young - the active, creative, dynamic and flowing side Yen - the passive side, which allows relaxation, slowing down and regeneration of forces.
In order to achieve a balance in our lives, we need both.
In a special workshop there is a balance between Ashtanga and Nyasa dynamic practice with quiet and observant yen practice.
We will also incorporate meditation and pranayama and discover how these two qualities of daily life can be applied.
3 magical days of desert, Yoga and sea. This workshop combines practicing Yoga on water and land, and paddling on the SUP. The SUP Yoga practice does not intend to replace Yoga on a stable ground; it adds an important element to it, and clarifies two on Yoga’s most important principles: stability and relaxation.
Working on an unstable surface requires precision and attention to the body placement during the pose. The practice is challenging, and the posture muscles are activated in a large part of the poses. The student must find his or her inner stability, yet remain in a relaxed state and allow the body to accept the movements of the board and the water.
The bigger the effort and the challenge, the deeper and more powerful is the relaxation on the water; the closeness to water allows one to connect to the water inside the body.
Add to it all the influence of nature around us – the sea, the sun, the wind, and sometimes even the rain and rainbow – and you will get an amazing and dynamic experience.
What is special about this workshop is that there is no need of prior knowledge of Yoga or the SUP. The unique approach and the different rhythm allow a pretty smooth entrance into this world. At times there is a mental barrier to go through, and it is different for everyone - that’s the beauty of it… We slowly dismantle it and get to work.
It is a complete experience. There is a strenuous exercise, a profound relaxation, a connection to nature, to air, water, and good company.
BUDOKON: The Warrior Yogi & Meditative live Music & Sounds
Nieke Franken and Dan Avidor
Antelope Ranch , Moshav Tzofar - Hey Sham Cabins
The unification of body, mind and spirit seems to be the greatest of battles in life.
As yogis, we continuously battle letting go of the rigid, clinging – divided – mind: our biggest enemy in life.
We aim to embrace the effortless flow of time and shed old ways of thinking; the need to be right and to control and direct the course of things.
Our goal is to transit our battle in a dance of unification; praying for peace and harmony. This way we can invite, accept and embrace what IS.
A true Warrior Yogi must battle the desire to cling onto what has passed, or what will never be, and embrace what is NOW.
We all have a yogi and a warrior inside of us.
The warrior fights for the things in life (s)he can change. The Yogi accepts the things (s)he cannot change.
We must seek to experience true balance within in order to change what is changeable and to accept that what is not.
In our battle we should remember our original state before the divided mind. Animal moves allow us to return to our natural state of single mind. A reconnection to the earth, a returning to all-fours and to pure playfulness.
In this workshop you will be introduced to the Budokon Mixed Movement System where we will take modern yoga to the next level. Budokon yoga is a modern dynamic yoga style which unites the ancient tradition of self-inquiry with modern mixed movement.
The style synchronizes classical yoga with martial arts, calisthenics, animal locomotion and life science.
Budokon style Yoga invites for slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength. The focus is on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures. The style offers a practice for movers of all types seeking the highest level of agility, mobility, stamina, and strength, both in body and mind.
Finally: To give your restless mind a helping hand in finding balance, you will experience an extensive sound bath on Thursday evening and you will be showered in soothing sounds during your relaxation (sevasana) and meditation sessions. Those with physical pains, may receive healing through vibration during these sound sessions.

, , Moshav Idan - Sahara , Moshav Idan - meshek Motchnik
We are happy to be a guest and take part again this year in Yoga Arava.
We invite you to join another weekend from what you met in Moshav Idan to a breathtaking desert landscape.
When yoga and sound meet, a unique frequency is created, a special multi-sensory experience of flow, relaxation and true freedom.
A rare experience.
During the weekend we will practice fresh yoga with live music and get to know the world of the Overtones and work with it. The Overtones, which are considered the essence of the music and the inner essence that stems from the "one", create an organic combination with the yoga practice as a healing force. Throughout the workshop, we will work with the singing of Overtones, gongs, loudspeakers, string instruments, Tibetan bowls and more.
Please note that if weather conditions and water temperature are possible, a Watsu workshop and Tibetan water bowls will be available.
When yoga sounds and water meet, great things happen ...
yoga is practiced using the fresh-yoga method and watsu treatments, combined with live music of healing sounds, gongs, and overtones.

Nourish... listen... balance
Shanee Habari Host Ayelet Ziv
Arandal Ranch , Kibutz Yahel - Maayan Bamidbar
Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body.... the beating of the heart.... the rustle of breath and the vibration of thoughts. Each one composes his own creation of life, as the movement and sounds giving us life. During this desert week we experience an in-depth practice, based on the world of Yoga, Medical Qigong, touch and sound. The encounter invites us to "tune the instruments", to stretch and release the strings, to devote ourselves to the movement and healing sounds alongside the silence and the deep listening.
Through the movement of the body, in and out, a physical and energetic space is opened that will connect our inner vibration - and the external vibration of the bowls and instruments, which will bring about liberation, relaxation and healing.
* In the workshop we will practice and experience movement from the world of Yoga, Qigong, free dance and touch. We will create a communication that builds trust in ourselves and in the other and serves as a bridge to an open and supportive atmosphere that enables a unique liberation process. Trust is created by wordless communication and allows us to break boundaries and strengthen confidence in ourselves and those around us.
* sound healing and sound meditation Meditations and a sound healing session in motion and lying with Tibetan bowls and musical instruments collected from around the world. We will experience a unique and personal experience. The sounds and bowls are gently placed on and around our bodies, triggering vibrations that operate on all dimensions. A vibration that opens a door and path to reboot, relax and heal, to calibrate all levels: physical, energetic and conscious.
