Eddy’s passion is spreading the light of yoga and he has been doing so full time for the past seven years.
Eddy’s teaching style will invite you to ;
• explore your healthy edge physically, blending effort while remaining soft with ease.
• connect to your spiritual self, to the internal light that shines within letting it be your constant guide.
• connect deeply to your breath allowing it to be the bridge between the physical and energetic bodies so that transformation can occur organically in mind, body and soul simultaneously.
The weekend workshops will a culmination of Eddy’s classic fluid and powerful flows, inversion and transition playtime, yin yoga and restorative sessions, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra.
Cultivate your Power, connect to your inner Grace and Flow on your mat so to carry these qualities off of your mat with more ease-fulness in the ever changing tides of life.
During the course of this intensive weekend you’ll be guided through ;
• Power Vinyasa flows, a fluid and dynamic yoga practice designed to build strength and develop flexibility. Standing poses, arm balances, transitions and seated poses will all explored in a fluid dance that is led by the breath.
• Inversion and Transition workshops that will break down poses and movements that will help you understand how to hop and float, back and forth from the top and back of your mat with fluidity while being inverted.
• Yin and Restorative Yoga, a relaxed and slow practice that will allow your body to recuperate and rejuvenate itself to balance out the fiery Yang movements.
• Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Nidra. Pranayama translates to “extension of life force”.
Meditation silences the mind down and brings coherence with the heart.
Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a state state of consciousness between waking and sleeping that greatly reduces stress and, a 45 minutes of yogic sleep feels like 3 hours of regular sleep.
The unification of body, mind and spirit seems to be the greatest of battles in life.
As yogis, we continuously battle letting go of the rigid, clinging – divided – mind: our biggest enemy in life.
We aim to embrace the effortless flow of time and shed old ways of thinking; the need to be right and to control and direct the course of things.
Our goal is to transit our battle in a dance of unification; praying for peace and harmony. This way we can invite, accept and embrace what IS.
A true Warrior Yogi must battle the desire to cling onto what has passed, or what will never be, and embrace what is NOW.
We all have a yogi and a warrior inside of us.
The warrior fights for the things in life (s)he can change. The Yogi accepts the things (s)he cannot change.
We must seek to experience true balance within in order to change what is changeable and to accept that what is not.
In our battle we should remember our original state before the divided mind. Animal moves allow us to return to our natural state of single mind. A reconnection to the earth, a returning to all-fours and to pure playfulness.
In this workshop you will be introduced to the Budokon Mixed Movement System where we will take modern yoga to the next level. Budokon yoga is a modern dynamic yoga style which unites the ancient tradition of self-inquiry with modern mixed movement.
The style synchronizes classical yoga with martial arts, calisthenics, animal locomotion and life science.
Budokon style Yoga invites for slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength. The focus is on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures. The style offers a practice for movers of all types seeking the highest level of agility, mobility, stamina, and strength, both in body and mind.
Finally: To give your restless mind a helping hand in finding balance, you will experience an extensive sound bath on Thursday evening and you will be showered in soothing sounds during your relaxation (sevasana) and meditation sessions. Those with physical pains, may receive healing through vibration during these sound sessions.
